My approach to helping you
As a freelance copywriter, I have worked with businesses in many sectors and part of the fun is the variety that each new project brings. An experienced researcher, I’ll get to know your business intimately, before I even begin to write. This ensures that I am aware of what your company offers, who your competitors are, your strengths and your key messages.

You’ll usually find me writing copy in my office in Cheltenham, in the Gloucestershire Cotswolds. Due to the wonders of the internet, I have also worked with clients in all corners of the UK and overseas. Want to discuss a copywriting project? We can either meet for a chat or discuss via Skype. I use cloud-based document sharing and other technologies to make the whole process as smooth as possible for my customers.
Whether you’re a small business owner needing to tell the world about what you do, or a bigger concern with not enough time, you can call on me.
What writing services do you need?
This is where we get persuasive! Whether your website needs an overhaul or you need some advertising copy, it really makes sense to call me to discuss your requirements; from company reports, to radio scripts and from jingles to theses. The magic lies in my getting to know your business and working on ways to ensure everyone else knows about it too. Copywriting needs to match the personality and target market of your business and catch the attention of a prospective customer, so we’ll leave nothing to chance. I work to written or verbal briefs and can also ghost-write as required. I belong to the ProCopywriters’ Network and keep myself informed about developments in SEO-copywriting and other ways of making copy stand out for my clients.
Ghostwriting: make me an author
You’ve got an idea for a book and you want to turn it into reality? I’m here to help. I’m the co-author and ghostwriter of several 5-star Amazon success stories, so you know your project will be in good hands. From proofreading your manuscript or copy editing to writing your book for you, I have the skills and tools to assist. You remain the named author of your book and you get a secret helping hand with the grammar and spelling. Or you can commission me to ghostwrite the whole book – you choose. We can construct a manuscript based on a series of interviews via Skype or face-to-face. I am an experienced and skilled interviewer, which means I find out the kind of information that keeps a reader turning the page and wanting to know more. This method works well for business books or for writing your memoirs and autobiography. I promise to keep the secret of my involvement for ever, unless you give me permission to share and help promote your book. Together we can take your project from a dream to the reality of a completed manuscript, ready for publication.
Proofreading and copy-editing services
Even the most competent writer needs a proofreader to ‘catch’ that errant apostrophe or ‘fat finger’ typographical error. I am a stickler for grammar and punctuation, so you might want ask me about proofreading your copy or book manuscript prior to publication. I am an Intermediate Member of the Society for Editors and Proofreaders, having completed their training courses in proofreading and copy-editing, and am working toward Professional membership. Recent clients have employed me to proofread a variety of copy, from thrillers and business books to brochures and advertising.
I also offer copy-editing services, working with words you have written yourself to add that extra sparkle and make them stand out from your competitors’. I can share samples of proofreading and copy-editing projects that I’ve worked on in the past, or you could take a quick look at my online portfolio – click on the relevant tab to narrow down the options.
